Even 1 tetris is inefficient

You can use the 3 step method to get good
Practice
Practice
Practice more
OnePunMan
I'd recommend staying away from 4 wide since that will kill everyone and you don't get any practice at all
OnePunMan
The only impressive thing about multiple pcs on ppt is your opponent allowing it to happen
OnePunMan
Literally just play heaps
That's the best practice
OnePunMan
But like i see ppl
And they do these crazy setups that gove you back to back tspins fast af
🤔
Is it at the start of the game
Yeah
At the start
That's called
Memorised an opener
OnePunMan
the T spin mini is essentially a waste of a T piece
Yakine
If you get 4 wided you're screwed
GOtta 4 wide back
Unless you're just way faster and better than them 🤔
OnePunMan
How do I play this game?
Learn how it works
OnePunMan
The most powerful attack is when your opponent can’t counter
OnePunMan
If anything you should be improvising to learn..
Instead of memorising 75 setups to try and convince yourself that you know how to play but then once the opener has ended not know how to play the game
OnePunMan
are any of these strats good? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzgQFeqzz38
If you're about 20x as fast as your opponent these could work out
OnePunMan
how good is 2 wide compared to 1 wide?
2 wide is probably the worst strategy ever
So not very
Oh ok, what should be better?
I'm still kinda new to this.
One wide
OnePunMan
I don't think speed matters when it comes to learning technique
OnePunMan
You should always use hold when downstacking
OnePunMan
The best T spin is when you drop your cup of tea but it spins while it falls
OnePunMan
🥚
OnePunMan
b2b doesnt matter as much as having a low and clean stack
pwn_by_numbers
you should literally never be making a bad placement
if you do, you messed up
pwn_by_numbers
Remember that
Pieces have multiple orientations
Actually extremely useful
But so many people don't realize
🤔
OnePunMan
good boards make you think "oh look at all the possibilities i have"
bad boards make you think "why aren't all the pieces perfect for me"
popte
TSM is not for setup, it's for cleanup
cosin307
basic is good
basic is very safe for tetris
popte
If you never look at the piece queue, then you will never learn to look at it
OnePunMan
yeah modern tetris is easier if youre just stacking for 4 line clears like in classic, but thats not all youre supposed to do
vkk5252
In modern guideline tetris, IMO if you don't know how to 4w or haven't bothered learning it, then that's your problem.

if at any point you feel like its difficult to find a place for a piece, that means you made a mistake in a previous piece
